What a beautiful thought I am thinking!
concerning a blue and gold jet
I know she'll be the one to bear me
the most graceful plane I ever met!
She can fly low and she can fly high
she's the gem in the crown of the sky
I know the Grreat Admiral watches
looking from Heaven on High
When the sod shall bury my body
my loyal blue mount
shall carry me up to Glory
I'll touch the face of God
when the surly bonds of Earth have been broken
and the Great Admiral gives His call
I'll be joyfuly borne up to meet Him
on the wings of the blue and gold jet!

The BLue Angel
I wrote this and "fly angel fly' on 23 April, 2007
There was a man who loved to fly
he loved to travel through the sky
he was called a Blue Angel
indeed he was
It was always what he wanted to be called
In his blue and gold mount
he flew with grace
he reached out and touched God's face
his BLue and gold mount
not a servant so faithful he found
The Great Admiral had a higher calling
to fly away and be at rest
to land on the gold runway
to the hanger in the sky
where the soul of man will never die.
His blue and gold hornet
never again shall fly
for her pilot so sadly died
She died as well
ever the loyal one
making it clear that "kojak"
was the only pilot she'll need.
She will have her place of honor.
Her pilot too shall never again
be with us
when he was flying that April day
he never knew death came his way
but the Great Admiral
called him home
and that was the last mile he
ever flown.
He flew away to his goal
to be with God forevermore!

Fly Angel, fly
FLy angel, fly
for Heaven is very high.
I miss you so
to Glory, the Great Admiral has called you to go
Fly Angel, fly
fly away on the wings of the morning
and be at rest.
Land on the golden runway
fly Angel, fly
the angels will clear the way
for you to fly to Eternal Day
Fly Angel, fly
and touch the face of God
while your body lays in the sod.
fly Angel, fly
and break the surly bonds of Earth
fly Angel, fly
I never met you, still I miss you
WE will meet in the Great ADmiral's house
fly, angel, fly
to your deserving on the hall of heroes
where many gone before
fly angel fly

Finally
I FINALLY went to LCDR Davis' gravesite in Barrancas National Cemetary. How I felt will not be put into words. I never knew the man, but ever since he died, he has always been on my mind. I still have not a clue why since I never met him. I wish I could have. Kojak will always be in me. I was SO grateful to have been at Kojak's resting place. The man can now fly wherever he wants to. SOmetimes, I feel as if he were flying above me, and smiling down upon me. Fair winds and calm seas Kojak
